Imagery in SRT

In Skinner Releasing Techniques' literature is defined what is imagery and its usage in movement training.
However, these days I was looking for my own understanding of imagery in SRT. At the moment I am in the fight of diversity somewhere between:
  • imagery as starting point where imagery is a "springboard";
  • imagery as tool of work;
  • imagery as a way of work.
And there is a question for you - what is your understanding of imagery and its application in SRT?

By the way, here is link to article about this topic: http://skinnerreleasing.com/articles/imageryarticle.html
